The Vietnamese delegation took part in the opening ceremony, toured exhibition booths and product displays of major international defense corporations, and held bilateral meetings with heads of delegations from other countries.
During these meetings, Gen. Luc expressed gratitude to the host country’s Ministry of Defense, partner nations, and defense enterprises for attending and showcasing products at the second Vietnam Defense Expo. He welcomed the participation of foreign defense ministries and militaries and affirmed that Vietnam is ready to facilitate the participation of international defense enterprises in the upcoming third edition.
During the expo, Gen. Luc visited the booths of Viettel Manufacturing Corporation under the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel), and One Member Limited Liability Company 76 under the General Department of Defense Industry. He highly praised Vietnamese military enterprises for their engagement and showcase of products, noting that their products would draw strong attention from international defense businesses.
The Defense & Security 2025 is one of the region’s most prestigious international defense events, organized biennially by the Thai Ministry of Defense since 2003. According to the organizers, this year’s expo gathered more than 600 defense industry manufacturers, technology and aerospace companies from 38 countries, with an expected attendance of around 28,000 visitors.

The exhibition showcased a wide range of weapon systems, missiles, tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles, transport and naval vessels, telecommunications satellites, electronic defense systems, cybersecurity hardware and software, as well as rescue and disaster response technologies. It also featured the latest innovations in security, such as surveillance cameras, intrusion alarms, electronic security, and night vision technology.
Vietnam’s participation in the Defense & Security 2025 reflected its active international defense cooperation and commitment to implementing the Party and State’s policy on building and developing a pro-active, self-reliant, modern, and dual-use defense industry.
