At the event, the two delegations focused on exchanging measures to promote youth affairs in the military of each country and solutions to further promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

The Military Advisory Youth Board under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Youth Affairs Office of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Lao People's Army hold training sessions to share experiences in professional and youth affairs every year.
Lieutenant Colonel Bounmixay Khamphachan from the Youth Affairs Office of Laos spoke highly of the coordination activities between the two militaries in general and the military youth of the two countries in particular, thereby reflecting the traditional friendship and solidarity. Training activities have helped many young officers of the Lao People's Army grow up during their working process, he added.
The leaders of the two delegations affirmed that defense relations are always one of the important pillars and bright spots in the Vietnam-Laos relationship.
Expressing their belief that the special relationship between the two countries will be increasingly preserved and nurtured, they said that the young officers of the two militaries wish to contribute their youth and together with the peoples and militaries of the two countries successfully implement the goals that each country has chosen and further promote the role and position of the two countries in the international arena.

* The same day, the Central Military Court under the General Department of Political Affairs opened a training course for Lao military court officials.
In his opening speech, Lieutenant General Duong Van Thang, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Justice of the Central Military Court underlined that cooperation between the two militaries’ judiciary agencies have been promoted on the basis of the bilateral friendship and special solidarity between the two parties, states, and militaries. He hoped that this course would further expand the cooperation.
General Thang said that during the one-month long course, the Lao officers will be provided with knowledge and practical experiences for their future tasks. In return, the Central Military Court could learn from the Lao officers to improve its activities in the time to come. During their stay in Vietnam, the Lao officers will go on field trips to learn more about Vietnam and its people, thus promoting a good relationship and fine sentiments with the Vietnamese people. General Thang also hoped the Lao trainees would exert efforts to make the course a success.
