Addressing the concluding ceremony, Major General Ta Quang Chuyen, Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense Journal, held that for over two weeks, trainees and lecturers completed the set targets with good outcomes. The Lao officers learnt and shared experience on the organization and operation of the National Defense Journal as well as journalistic and publishing activities. They also visited and shared experience on writing dissemination articles with some Vietnamese military units.

Major General Ta Quang Chuyen noted that both sides had an opportunity to have more knowledge and experience on editing and publishing work so as to serve the task of military building and safeguarding the nation in the current context. This was also a chance for the Lao military officers to get to know more about the Vietnamese country, people and culture, thereby promoting mutual understanding and boosting the Vietnam - Laos great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.

For his part, Senior Colonel Thimsao Duangchampa, Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense Journal of the Lao People’s Army, underscored that the success of the course contributed to bolstering the cooperation between the two journals in particular, as well as the cooperation plan between the two defense ministries in general.

He affirmed that the Lao officers would apply what they have learnt in the course to reality, contributing to boosting dissemination work of the Lao People’s Army in the coming time.
