During the stay of Frigates 015 and 012 at Fangcheng port, commanders of both sides’ naval ships will hold courtesy meetings. Officers and sailors of the two navies will have reciprocal ship visits, exchange professional experience and participate in sports and cultural exchanges. The two sides will also hold meetings to finalize plans for the joint patrol and joint training.

Notably, within the framework of the 10th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange, the defense ministers and military delegations of both countries are expected to visit the naval ships and listen to reports on preparations for the joint patrol and joint training in the Gulf of Tonkin.

During the upcoming 40th joint patrol and joint training in the Gulf of Tonkin, naval ships of Vietnam and China are expected to conduct several exercises, including formation maneuvering, maritime escort operations, light signal communications, anti-piracy operations, search and rescue, and ship damage control.
