The delegation visited the Military Region 3 Command, the Coast Guard Command, the Ministry of Defense's Economic Development Department and the military units in the provinces of Kep, Kampot, Sihanoukville, and Koh Kong.

At each unit visited, the delegation from the Kien Giang provincial Military Command was briefed on their unit-building situation and outcomes of coordination between the two sides in recent times. On the Chol Chnam Thmay Festival, Col. Nganh wished all generals, officers, soldiers of the military units and military sub-regions of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces good health.

The Commanding Officer of the Kien Giang provincial Military Command also took the occasion to share updates on the economic, political, and social situation of Kien Giang province in recent years. He said, "Over the past years, the Party, government, and the armed forces of both countries in general and the Kien Giang provincial Military Command and the units of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in particular have regularly exchanged information, actively cooperated to ensure security and order along the border, at sea, and in the fight against crimes, contributing to firmly protecting the shared land and sea border and building borderline of peace and friendship.”

He thanked the Cambodian agencies and units for creating favorable conditions for the people living in border areas in Kien Giang to engage in trade and improve their lives. He particularly appreciated the Cambodian side’s timely support to Team K92 of the provincial military command to complete the mission of searching for and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military advisors who sacrificed their lives while conducting international service in Cambodia. Col. Nganh expressed hope for continued support from the units to help Team K92 successfully complete their assigned mission.

On the occasion, the delegation of the Kien Giang provincial Military Command presented gifts to the visited units. The representatives of the units of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces highlighted the close friendship between the two countries and expressed gratitude to the sacrifices of the Vietnamese volunteer soldiers to help Cambodia overthrow the genocidal regime. They also expressed their hope to maintain and strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the two countries in general and between the armed forces of Kien Giang province and the military units of Cambodia in particular.

* On April 4, a delegation of the Khanh Hoa provincial Military Command, led by its Political Commissar Sr. Col. Dinh Van Hung visited and extended wishes to Cambodia’s Strung Treng provincial Military Sub-region on the occasion of the  Chol Chnam Thmay Festival.

On behalf of the delegation, Col. Hung wished officers and soldiers of the Strung Treng provincial Military Sub-region good health and a happy new year. He also wished that the cooperation between the armed forces of the two provinces would become more practical and effective, and the relationship between the two countries would remain evergreen, sustainable forever.
