Vietnamese, Cambodian provinces hold talks
PANO - The Dak Lak provincial Military Command and the Cambodian Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region had the 10th bilateral talks on January 9 in Buon Ma Thuot city,
The event was co-chaired by Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region Commander Lieutenant General San Kim Oeun and Dak Lak provincial Military Commander Senior Colonel Le My Danh.
In 2022, both armed forces regularly exchanged information to grasp the situation and address arising issues related to political security and social order in the areas. They also closely coordinated in border demarcation and marker planting work, pandemic and natural disaster prevention and control, mobilization work, among others.
Specifically, the Dak Lak provincial Military Command also presented gifts and support the building of houses for people in Mondulkiri province and gave the Cambodian unit VND 1.5 billion to build a working facility.
For its part, the Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region made timely recommendations to the local authorities to help Dak Lak province’s Team K51 search and gather Vietnamese volunteer soldiers’ remains in Cambodia and held ceremonies to repatriate them safely.

At the talks, both sides signed the minutes agreeing to continue to boost cooperation in border areas, contributing to promoting the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two armed forces.
* Earlier, at a war cemetery in Dak Lak province, both sides offered incense to pay tribute to fallen soldiers. The Cambodian delegation also visited and extended Tet greetings to the Dak Lak provincial Military Command on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2023.
