Dak Lak and Mondulkiri provinces to further coordinate in search and collection of martyrs’ remains
PANO - A working mission of the Steering Committee for search, collection, and verification of fallen soldiers' remains (Steering Committee 515) of Vietnam’s Dak Lak province and the Special Force of Cambodia’ Mondulkiri province held talks on September 29 and 30 in the Cambodian province.
During the talks, the two sides discussed and agreed on contents related to the implementation of search, collection, and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military advisors who laid down their lives in Cambodia in wartime.
In particular, Vietnam’s Dak Lak and Cambodia’s Mondulkiri agreed to fully actualize documents signed by the Vietnamese and Cambodian governments as well as the memorandum of understanding between the two provinces in search, collection, and repatriation of remains of fallen soldiers.
To achieve high results in the search and collection of fallen soldiers’ remains in the 2022 – 2023 dry season, the two sides are determined to further strengthen coordination, bring into play the tradition of solidarity and friendship, and create all favorable conditions for martyrs’ remains search and collection team K51 (Team K51 in short) to perform their tasks as planned.
During their mission in Mondulkiri province, Team K51 will continue to uphold good bilateral relations, strictly abide by the laws of Cambodia, and respect the regulations on international relations and traditional culture and customs of the host country.

At the talks, the two sides reached agreement on set contents and programs. As scheduled, Team K51 will leave Vietnam for Mondulkiri province on November 11.
The two sides also conducted surveys and determined that Team K51 will be stationed in Ch’ray Sen village, Monorom ward, Mondulkiri province’s Senmonorum city
