Vietnam-Philippines Young Officers Exchange held

During the visits, leaders of the Philippine sides expressed their impressions of the country and people of Vietnam in general and the Vietnam People's Army in particular, including special sentiments towards the Vietnamese young officers. The two sides discussed some issues of mutual concern, particularly building, fostering and training young officers in the cause of military building and national protection.

Meanwhile, both sides shared information related to specialized tasks, roles, positions and contribution of young officers; shared experience in promoting young officers’ capability, creativity, and enthusiasm; and discussed several important issues to protect young officers from the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The two sides affirmed that young officers would inherit and uphold glorious traditions of each country's military and contribute to preserving and deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Visiting the Philippine Army Museum, the Vietnamese young officers were introduced about the growth as well as the contribution of the Philippine Army to the military and national protection.

Since the first exchange in 2019, this year’s exchange offered participants an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding between young officers and young people of the two countries, and express their desire to maintain peace and stability for the development and prosperity of the two countries and other countries in the world.
