PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of National Defence, welcomed a mission of the Lao Defence Ministry’s Inspection Department, led by its Director Major General Viengkeo Phengsombat, in Hanoi on November 3rd.

The Vietnamese host hailed the outcomes of the talks between the Vietnamese Defence Ministry’s Inspectorate and the Lao Defence Ministry’s Inspection Department.

Particularly, they exchanged their experience in holding and implementing inspection work in the army, receiving citizens and addressing complaints, preventing and combating corruption, and strengthening the staff’s capability.

General Cung believed that the visit would foster bilateral cooperation, especially in regularly organizing delegation exchanges and information sharing, in order to further promote each side’s military inspection work, contributing to heightening the defence cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
