On behalf of the Vietnamese defense leaders and VPA’s GS and General Department of Political Affairs, Gen. Tan sent best wishes to Lao troops on the occasion of the LPA’s founding anniversary.
He added that over the past 75 years, under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the LPA has stood side by side with the Lao people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, contributing to the cause of national construction and protection, as well as peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The GS’s leader also affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State, government, military and people always bear in mind the great support from the Lao Party, State, government, military and people during the cause of national liberation and unification as well as construction and development in the current context. He expressed his hope that under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the country would gain more achievements, so as to affirm its position and responsibility in the region and the world.
Gen. Tan affirmed that the Vietnam-Laos bilateral defense cooperation over the past time has been promoted and implemented effectively, especially in the fields of delegation exchange, personnel training, information dissemination about the solidarity between the two countries and militaries, border management and protection. He hoped that both defense ministries would work closely to comprehensively implement cooperation fields.

On the occasion, Gen. Tan sent the congratulatory letter of Vietnamese Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang to General Chansamone Chanyalath.
For his part, General Chansamone Chanyalath thanked the Vietnamese Defense Ministry for visiting and congratulating the Lao side on the occasion of the LPA’s foundation day, affirming that over the past 75 years of construction and development, the LPA has received the wholehearted assistance from the Vietnamese Party, government, military, and people.
