Vietnam Japan naval forces promote cooperation
PANO - A delegation of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force, led by Rear Admiral Yoshihito Goka, on December 4 paid a courtesy visit to the Vietnam Navy Command on the occasion of the Vietnam-Japan Defense Exchange from December 2 to 8.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Commander, Chief-of-Staff of the Vietnam People's Navy, received the delegation.
At the reception, Rear Admiral Binh said that the Vietnam-Japan defense cooperation, including naval cooperation over the past years, has continued to gain effective achievements.

He hoped that the cooperation between the two sides will be further expanded in the coming time.
In 2020, the Vietnam People's Navy will host a number of external affairs activities and invite Japanese naval ships to participate in these activities.
Rear Admiral Goka said that in 2019, his country’ Navy will continue to send its ships and naval music band to visit Vietnam, and hope that the naval bands of the two navies will have a joint concert in Vietnam.
