Vietnam, India promote cooperation in military personnel training
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy Defense Minister led a high-ranking Vietnamese military delegation on November 26 to visit the Indian Army Officer Training School, as scheduled during his official visit to India.
Speaking at the event, representative of the school expressed his honor to welcome Gen. Giang and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, and affirmed that this was a practical concern and support of the Vietnamese MND's leaders for the Indian Army Officer Training School in general, and for the Vietnamese carders studying at the school in particular.

Having heard a report on the school's functions, duties and achievements, Gen. Giang highly appreciated the responsibilities, determination, and the outcomes of the lecturers and carders in military personnel training for India and other countries in the region.
According to the Vietnamese Deputy Defense Minister, the visit aims to further strengthen the political trust, as well as consolidate and promote the traditional friendship between the two militaries and two countries in the spirit of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Gen. Giang hoped that the Indian Army Officer Training School would continue to focus on training activities for Vietnamese military carders studying in the school, and to enhance cooperation and experience exchanges with Vietnam's Army Officers Training Schools in military personnel training for the two countries' militaries.
On the occasion, Gen. Giang visited a number of facilities, models, training equipment, and encouraged Vietnamese military carders who are studying at the school to fulfill their assigned missions in the time to come.
