Chief of General Staff visits India
PANO – A high-ranking Vietnamese defense delegation, led by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, left Hanoi on November 24 for an official visit to India.
It is made at the invitation of General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army and Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee.

The visit to India of the Vietnamese delegation is to promote political trust and defense cooperation between the two militaries, contributing to boosting the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership.
As planned, during his stay from November 24 to 28, General Giang will hold talks with General Bipin Rawat, witness the signing of several cooperation agreements between the two militaries, pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Indian Defense Ministry and the Indian Government, meet with the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, and visit several units of the Indian Armed Forces, and so on.
