Vietnam-Cuba relations to be enhanced and developed
PANO - The Cuban Embassy in Vietnam, on December 6 in Hanoi, held a banquet on the occasion of the 62 years of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960 - 2022), the 66th anniversary of the landing of the Granma and the establishment of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces (December 2, 1956).
The banquet was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet.

Addressing the event, Two-star General Víctor Rojo Ramos, Chief of the Political Directorate of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, affirmed that over the past six decades, the special traditional friendship between Cuba and Vietnam has constantly developed and been enhanced in all fields, and is considered as a symbol of solidarity between the two countries and the two peoples.

On behalf of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet underscored that Vietnam and Cuba are the two socialist countries with good traditional friendship, and stood together in the cause of national struggle and construction. Over the past 60 years, since the establishment of the Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties, the bilateral relationship has overcome challenges to become a pure, loyal and exemplary model.

According to Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, together with the sound development in other fields, the relationship between the Vietnam People’s Army and the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces has also been promoted via many generations of the two party leaders, governments, contributing to deepening the special traditional solidarity friendship between the two countries, especially despite the complicated developments of COVID-19 pandemic.
The GDP’s deputy chief also emphasized that the Vietnamese Party, State, people and military would continue to stand side by side with the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, hoping that under the sound leadership of the Cuban Communist Party, the forces will further obtain achievements in their cause of national construction and safeguarding.
