Vietnam, China review joint fishery patrol
PANO - The joint fishery patrol between the coast guard forces of Vietnam and China in 2018 reaped numerous outcomes, as reported at a conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 22.
At the conference reviewing the Vietnam-China joint fishery patrol in the shared fishing ground in the Gulf of Tonkin this year, hosted by the Vietnam Coast Guard Command and the Chinese Coast Guard, delegates assessed that the cooperation between the two coast guard forces have developed in a rapid, practical manner and in the right direction.

During the second joint fishery patrol this year, the two forces released thousands of fries with the aim of restoring aquatic resources in the Gulf of Tonkin. Besides, they discussed issues of mutual concern on the management and supervision of the observance of laws at sea, maintenance and improvement of dissemination of laws among the two countries’ fishermen.
At the meeting, the two sides agreed to report a joint fishery patrol and a conference to check the patrol in 2019 to their higher levels. They reached consensus on the discussed contents and signed in the minutes of the conference.
