In addition, both sides affirmed that the two militaries’ cooperation has been promoted actively over the past time, with a focus on training and cooperation between their naval and air forces, and mutual support at multilateral forums. In the time to come, they agreed to step up all-level mutual visits and exchanges of young officers, maintain consultation and dialogue mechanisms, and further strengthen ties between the countries’ naval and air forces.

For his part, General Tan thanked the Thai side for warmly receiving the Vietnamese delegation. He also noted the Vietnamese Defense Ministry will hold an international defense exhibition for the first time this December. He took this occasion to send invitations to leaders of the Ministry of Defense and military of Thailand to attend the event and also welcomed Thai defense businesses to the show.

At the meeting, the Thai organizing board of the exhibition shared their experience in organizing the event, which gathered 186 enterprises operating in the defense industry from around the world, and 46 official delegations, including defense and military officers from 33 countries.

General Tan appreciated the experience sharing, affirming that it will be useful for the Vietnamese Defense Ministry to prepare for the upcoming exhibition in Vietnam.
