Vietnam and Laos to boost cooperation in political education

Addressing the event, Major General Khamphay Saphangneua thanked the Vietnam’s school leaders for their warm reception. He also underscored the faithful relationship between the two countries and expressed his impressions on the rapid change of Vietnam in recent years, hoping that the Vietnamese Political Officer Training School would visit the Political Theory School of the Lao People’s Army in the coming time.

The visit was a practical activity contributing to realizing the bilateral coopration and symbolizing the Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022.

At the meeting

Major General Khamphay Saphangneua also introduced the role and functions of the Laos’ Political Theory School, while urging the Vietnamese side to further share experience in education management, and to enhance cooperation in education and training with the Lao political officers in the coming time.

At the reception, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hung Oanh warmly welcomed the Lao delegation to Vietnam and briefed them on its history of construction and development over the past 46 years. So far, the Vietnamese school organized ten course for 53 Lao military officers and is currently training 44 Lao officers. They always adhere to the Vietnamese State’s law and preserve and promote the solidarity and friendship between the two militaries and peoples.

On the occassion, the two sides also discussed and shared experience in education and training tasks.

After that, the Lao’s delegation visied the Culturual House of the school and talked with Lao trainees who are studying in the Vietnam’s Political Officer Training School.
