Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don arrives in Changi port
PANO - Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don of the Vietnam Naval Academy and the working mission on board arrived in Changi port on October 10, starting the visit and exchange with the Singaporean Navy.
A welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese delegation, which is led by Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Naval Academy Senior Captain Bui Duy Thong, was held at the port.
At the event, Captain Nicholas Tan, Deputy Director of the Maritime Warfare and Doctrine Institute (MWI) under the Singaporean Navy, wished that the visit and exchange would leave good impression on members of the two delegations.
Talking with Captain Nicholas Tan, Senior Captain Bui Duy Thong said that this is the second time that Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don has visited Singapore, and considered it a chance for the two navies to exchange and strengthen cooperation.
After six-day voyage with a total of 760 nautical miles, Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don reached Singapore as scheduled, ensuring absolute safety. During the voyage, the mission conducted anti-piracy training at sea and sea training focusing on checking the conditions of weapons and equipment and troops’ command and combat readiness capabilities. Members of the mission also participated in cultural exchanges, talks, and honed their English communication skills.
