The Vietnamese vessel was welcomed by representatives of the Indonesian Navy, Vietnam’s Embassy, Vietnamese Defense Attaché Office in Indonesia, and overseas Vietnamese community in the country.
On behalf of the Indonesian Navy, First Admiral Denih Hendrata, Commander of Main Base III, hoped the Vietnamese delegation would have a successful visit and interesting experiences of the beautiful and hospitable country.

At the reception, naval Captain Nguyen Duc Nam, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy, Head of the delegation, thanked the Indonesian State, Military, and Navy for their good sentiment for the Vietnamese naval delegation and believed that the visit of the delegation on board Sailing Vessel 286 – Le Quy Don would contribute to strengthening the friendship between the two countries, two militaries, and two navies.

After the reception, the Indonesian delegation and representatives of Vietnam Embassy and Vietnamese Defense Attaché Office in Indonesia toured Sailing Vessel 286 – Le Quy Don and were briefed on main technical specifications of the vessel.
Naval Captain Nguyen Duc Nam expressed his delight at visiting the beautiful country of Indonesia and hoped that the Vietnamese naval delegation will gain good experiences through exchanges with Indonesian naval force to better perform their duties in the future. He also briefed the host on the ship’s overseas voyages since it was assigned to the academy.

Earlier, the Vietnamese naval delegation on Sailing Vessel 286 – Le Quy Don held some activities to mark the 44th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification.
As planned, the delegation will visit the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese Defense Attaché Office in Indonesia, pay courtesy visits on local civilian leaders and military commanders of some Indonesian naval units.
