Concluding the training course, Deputy Chief of the VNDPKO, Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhu Canh stressed that the VNDPKO and the Canadian side cooperated closely in preparing the curriculum, training facilities and other related work. Ms. Veronique Fortin, Deputy Director of the Military Training Cooperation Department of Canada, highly appreciated the role of the Peacekeeping Training Center under the VNDPKO in the organization of the training course. She said, “This facility has strived to promote greater understanding, cultural exchanges, and friendship among participants, as well as to develop cooperation between Vietnam and its international partners, including Canada.”

The UN logistic officers’ training course is the 11th international course held in Vietnam and the first co-held by Vietnam and Canada since Vietnam became the official member of the Military Training Cooperation Program of Canada in December 2017.

Vietnam’s successful organization of the UN logistic officers’ training course this time has helped Vietnam gain more experience and enhance its capacity of organizing UN peacekeeping training courses, heading for the UN recognition in line with its standards.

The success of the course has also contributed to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Canada and between Vietnam and other partners in the realm of UN peacekeeping operations.
