Vietnamese contingent recovers 11 victims in Venezuela
PANO - On 30 June (local time), the Vietnamese contingent participating in earthquake disaster relief operations in Playa Grande area of La Guaira state of Venezuela identified 11 locations suspected of containing earthquake victims.
Following intensive search and rescue efforts, Vietnamese officers successfully recovered the bodies of 11 victims from the rubble and handed them over to the Venezuelan authorities. The contingent also established an additional emergency medical treatment station to provide medical care to 26 local residents in the affected area.
On June 29-30 (local time), the Vietnamese contingent delivered humanitarian assistance to Venezuela, including 35 tons of dry rations, 60 medical supply sets, 2 tons of canned meat, four generators, 500 tents, 10 large field tents, and 50,000 rolls of medical bandages.
