An overview of the event

Defense cooperation between Vietnam and Brunei has been strengthened through both bilateral mechanisms and the ASEAN framework. The two countries have effectively implemented the Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral defense cooperation and maintained the joint working group on military and defense cooperation. Regular exchanges of delegations, together with practical cooperation in military education and training, naval and air force collaboration, and crime prevention and control, have contributed significantly to the development and stability of both countries while reinforcing the role and standing of Vietnam and Brunei within the ASEAN Community and the international arena.

For his part, Colonel Azmie Iskandar Bin Ariffin expressed his pleasure and proposed expanding and enhancing cooperation between the two academies, particularly in student exchanges and scientific research. Representatives of Vietnam’s NDA also addressed questions from the Brunei delegation regarding the application of artificial intelligence in military education and training, as well as the academy's approaches to addressing recent developments in the global political landscape.

The visit by the delegation of Brunei has helped further strengthen solidarity and cooperation between the two militaries in general, and between the two academies in particular.
