The delegation was accompanied by representatives from UNISFA functional agencies. During the visit, the delegation expressed high appreciation for the contribution of Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 3.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hao, Commanding Officer of Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 3 and Head of the Vietnamese peacekeeping force at UNISFA, provided an overview of the unit's roles, achievements, ongoing tasks, and future directions. Since their deployment to Abyei, the Vietnamese engineering unit has completed tasks in various areas, particularly in repairing and upgrading key supply routes for the mission and local residents. They have also been constructing SmartCamps in line with UNISFA's plans and engaging in humanitarian activities to support the local community, earning high appreciation from the UNISFA leadership.

After inspecting and touring the unit, Mr. Vadim Potanin commended Vietnam's engineering unit for their capabilities. He highlighted their exceptional performance in road and field airport construction, SmartCamp development, and the layout of their technical zones. The "blue-beret" soldiers of Vietnam have enhanced their living conditions by cultivating green vegetables, beautifying the environment, and implementing disease prevention measures.

Mr. Potanin encouraged the Vietnamese unit to overcome difficulties and continue fulfilling their U.N. assigned tasks effectively, contributing to supporting the local community's stability and development.
