Rehearsal for opening ceremony of Army Games 2021 held
PANO - The rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the Army Games 2021 Vietnam took place on August 13 at the National Military Training Center No.4 in Mieu Mon (Hanoi).
The event was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, and attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Speaking at the event, General Cuong hailed participating forces for their efforts in training and preparing for the opening ceremony of the Army Games 2021 over the past time. He emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense’s hosting of “Sniper Frontier” and “Emergency Area” contests of the Army Games 2021 is a significant activity, contributing to strengthening the fine relationship between Vietnam and Russia. The event is also an opportunity for the Vietnam People’s Army to foster friendship and experience sharing with other participating militaries and popularize the images of Vietnam, its people and military to international friends.
Therefore, participating forces should take the remaining short time to train and make all final preparations for the ceremony. The ceremony should be short, but must be solemn and reflect cultural identities of Vietnam and its people, said Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong.
