Refresher course on organizational work for Lao officers kicked off

The refresher course aims to enhance Lao officers’ professional knowledge, skills, and experience and offers an opportunity for the two sides to exchange effective methods and experience in carrying out Party organizational work. It also contributes to improving officers’ professional competence and strengthening the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and Laos.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Organization Major General Tran Trung Thiet, during the course, participating Lao officers would study two thematic topics on organizational work, visit several Vietnamese military units, and tour historical and cultural sites in Vietnam. These activities will help participants better understand the country, culture, and people of Vietnam, thereby fostering the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two nations and their militaries.

He requested lecturers to deliver concise, clear, and practical lessons, focusing on essential methods and procedures of conducting organizational work within the Vietnam People’s Army. He also urged the trainees to maintain responsibility, actively exchange ideas, and strictly follow the class regulations.

On behalf of the Lao side, Lao Deputy Defense Attaché to Vietnam Lieutenant Colonel Khamxien Pathoumthong expressed sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and hoped participants would gain valuable experience for their future work.

Meanwhile, Colonel Xayasouk Sengpathip, Deputy Director of the Department of Party Organization, affirmed that Lao officers would study seriously and apply the acquired knowledge effectively to the department’s professional work and Lao military’s defense and security work, contributing to strengthening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
