Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Logistics Major General Pham Manh Cuong laid stress on the purpose and significance of the course. Together with enhancing the Lao trainees’ theoretical knowledge related to logistics work, the course aims to strengthen the solidarity and traditional friendship between the two parties, militaries, and logistics sectors.

Gen. Cuong asked leaders of the Military Logistics Academy to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the course to be organized as planned and urged affiliates of the General Department of Logistics to work closely with relevant agencies and units to maintain and ensure the course’s efficiency in all aspects.

The deputy chief of the General Department of Logistics hoped that trainees would strictly observe the course’s rules and the organizing panel’s regulations, actively study, and fully participate in activities within the course to acquire the shared knowledge and experience to apply them to their future task performance.

As planned, during the 45-day long course, participants will study logistics-related contents, including staff work for the logistics sector, maintenance of military supplies for regular use and combat missions, barracks building, petrol supply, and military transport.

Trainees will also have field trips to units under the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army.
