Refresher course on defense external affairs opened for officers of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces

In recent years, both Ministries of National Defense have consistently prioritized human resource training, recognizing it as a matter of strategic importance for bilateral relations between the two countries. At Cambodia’s request, the Department of Foreign Relations organizes this training program to strengthen mutual understanding, trust, and effective cooperation between the two militaries.

The program also aims to strengthen exchanges between cadres in charge of foreign relations, enhance knowledge of each country’s foreign policy, and improve coordination in protocol and sharing of experience, thereby promote quality and effectiveness of delegation exchanges.

The training program consists of nine topics covering general knowledge and professional skills in defense diplomacy.

Major General Bui Trong Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Relations, expressed confidence that with the learners’ efforts, the course would be successful and Cambodian officers would apply the acquired knowledge effectively upon returning home.
