During the course, 20 female officers of Laos will be briefed on information related to military women affairs, discuss and exchange experience in carrying out the work.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Phu affirmed that the refresher course aims to enhance female Lao officers’ knowledge and skills and offers an opportunity for the two sides to exchange experience in carrying out the work.

Apart from class time, trainees will visit outstanding models of women of the Vietnam People’s Army and tour historical and cultural relic sites and famous landscapes. Through those activities, the organizing panel expects to raise trainees’ professional competence and skills and their understanding about Vietnam, its people, and military.

The refresher course for female officers of the Lao People's Army is hoped to contribute to improving the effectiveness of cooperation activities between military women of the two countries and strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao Ministries of National Defense.
