Program connects Vietnamese troops with Lao and Cambodian students

The mission visits the Hall of Fame of Division 9, Army Corps 4.

The program was part of the practical activities to actualize the project, themed “Vietnamese families and Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2021 - 2025 period,” launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the event, veterans shared their memories of the time when they helped the neighboring countries in their national liberation cause, affirming the faithful and close relationship and solidarity between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

On the occasion, Lao and Cambodian students visited the barracks and learned about the military life of troops of Division 9 and their missions. A cultural exchange was also held to connect youths of the three countries.

Political Commissar of Division 9 Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Thang said that the exchange program helped strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Laos and Cambodia in a comprehensive and sustainable manner. Through the event, the relationship between the unit’s troops and war veterans in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnamese families and Lao and Cambodian students was consolidated.
