Military Region 4 provides rescue vehicles and equipment to Lao People’s Army
PANO - With the approval of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, on October 16, in Vientiane, Laos, Military Region 4 handed over various vehicles, materials, and equipment for search and rescue operations to the Lao People’s Army to help their future training and relief efforts.
The gifts, totally valued at over VND 4 billion, included one ST-660 motorboat, two CEMA 450 boats, four Yamaha and Mercury outboard motors, along with 100 life rings and life jackets.

At the handover ceremony, a representative of Military Region 4 hoped that the Lao side would receive, effectively manage, and use the provided rescue vehicles and equipment, thereby improving the quality of training and exercises, and ensuring readiness for search and rescue missions when needed.
This was a meaningful defense diplomacy activity, helping strengthen the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

It is known that from October 3 to 15, Military Region 4 deployed nearly 100 officers and soldiers along with various vehicles and equipment to participate in a joint search and rescue exercise among the militaries of Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia in Vientiane. The exercise was completed safely and successfully, earning high praise from the governments and defense ministers of the three countries.
