Present at the closing ceremony were Major General Nguyen Hung Thang, Deputy Director and Chief of the Staff of the General Department of Logistics; Major General Nguyen Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Military Logistics Academy; and Colonel Bangxi Xaysomkhot, Lao defense attaché to Vietnam.

During the one-month long course, 25 Lao officers studied various subjects related to regular logistic services, logistic staff work, barracks planning, management of investment in military construction, military barracks designing, and legal documents on the management of construction quality, among others.

The Lao trainees also joined field trips to a number of logistic units of the Vietnam People’s Army for more practical experiences.

In his speech, General Thang highly valued efforts and responsibility of the staff, relevant units, and trainees who had made the course a success, achieved all set targets.

The general recommended that the Lao trainees should apply their knowledge and experiences acquired during the course to their units’ practical task performance as well as become a bridge to expand cooperation between the two militaries’ logistic sectors, contributing to promoting the bilateral traditional relations.
