The ceremony was attended by Major General Pham Manh Thang, Director of the Viet Nam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO); representatives from Military Hospital 175, the MND Office, agencies under the General Staff and the General Department of Political Affairs, Military Region 7 and the Air Defense - Air Force Service. The international guest was Katherine Louise Grimmond, Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.

During its mission in South Sudan, the L2FH Rotation 7 maintained strong political resolve, strictly observed discipline, promoted solidarity, pro-actively overcame difficulties, and successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks. The hospital continuously and safely maintained its medical operations, providing effective patient reception, emergency care, treatment, and response to medical situations. It treated more than 2,200 patients and successfully performed more than 30 complex surgeries.

Alongside its medical duties, the L2FH Rotation 7 completed 17 scientific papers, including four published in Q2 and Q3 international journals, and applied hospital management software to its operations. The hospital also focused on community outreach, supported local communities, and strengthened solidarity and cooperation with forces at the mission.

Speaking at the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Pham Manh Thang congratulated the hospital on its achievements during its mission. He emphasized that these results were made possible by thorough preparation, the efforts, solidarity, and sense of responsibility of all officers and personnel, as well as the regular leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and MND, coordination and guidance from relevant agencies, and support from agencies and units inside and outside the military.

The VNDPKO's Director asked the officers and personnel of the hospital, upon returning home, to continue strictly observing regulations and successfully complete health examinations, reviews, lessons-learned sessions, handover procedures, and the settlement of policies and benefits. They were also asked to quickly stabilize their morale and organization and resume duties at their respective agencies and units. Each officer and staff member should continue to apply the knowledge and skills acquired and the experience gained at the mission to medical examinations, emergency care, treatment, and health care for military personnel and the people.
The VNDPKO, Military Hospital 175, and relevant agencies and units will continue coordinating reviews and lessons-learned activities, ensuring that all policies and benefits for the hospital's personnel are fully implemented, and studying and effectively applying the hospital's practical experience to the preparation, training, and deployment of forces participating in U.N. peacekeeping operations in the future.

On behalf of the unit, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Duc Tai, the L2FH Rotation 7's Director, expressed his gratitude for the leadership and direction of the CMC and MND, as well as the coordination and support of the VNDPKO, Military Hospital 175, and other agencies and units during the hospital's mission. He also thanked the families of the officers and personnel for serving as a strong support throughout the mission and affirmed that the hospital would continue to improve its professional expertise and remain ready to successfully fulfill assigned tasks.

During the conversation, the two sides highly valued the results of cooperation between Viet Nam and Australia in U.N. peacekeeping operations and agreed to continue close coordination, share experience, and support capacity building for forces participating in U.N. peacekeeping missions in the coming period.
