Senior Colonel Tran Tien Hai hands over the donation to the Ratanakiri provincial police force.

During the talks, both sides exchanged information and reported on the results of their collaborative efforts in border management and protection, COVID-19 pandemic prevention and fighting against criminal activities and law violations in recent times.

They also discussed matters related to border security and reaffirmed their commitment to continue implementing the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding, in particular, enhancing coordination and border protection management in accordance with the agreements, accords, and press releases issued by the Governments of the two countries. They pledged to contribute to the construction of a peaceful and friendly border line and to strengthen the exchange of relevant information in border management and criminal prevention, especially drug-related ones and human trafficking.

On this occasion, the Gia Lai provincial Border Guard Command donated USD 50,000 (from the Gia Lai provincial People's Committee's budget) to the construction of the headquarters of Company 1 of the border guard section under the Ratanakiri provincial Military Sub-region, and an office building for the provincial gendarmerie command. Additionally, the donation will also be used to purchase equipment for the border police force under the Ratanakiri provincial Police Department.
