The Vietnamese defense leader stressed that, in recent years, based on signed documents and agreements, bilateral defense cooperation has been actively implemented in many areas, including delegation exchanges; dialogues and consultations; training; U.N. peacekeeping; military medicine; service-to-service coordination; remediation of war legacy; and cooperation within multilateral defense mechanisms, particularly the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM+).
Acknowledging and highly appreciating the contribution of Colonel Michael Jansen to promoting bilateral defense ties, the host noted that, in his capacity as Head of the Military Attachés Corps in Vietnam, Colonel Michael Jansen also played an important role in connecting and organizing exchange and interaction activities between the Military Attachés Corps and the Vietnamese MND.
