Coast guard ship returns safely after visit to Philippines

The delegation was welcomed by Senior Colonel Le Huy Sinh, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, along with other senior officers from the region.

Senior Colonel Le Huy Sinh congratulated the delegation on the successful completion of their mission. The delegation's activities were promptly covered by the mass media, leaving a positive impression on the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine people in general.

The visit has not only promoted friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard, but also provided an opportunity for officers and soldiers from both forces to exchange and share experience in maritime law enforcement.

Earlier, following the farewell ceremony, the two forces conducted a joint exercise on search and rescue and fire prevention and firefighting at sea. This was one of the key activities of the visit and exchange between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard, aimed at enhancing cooperation and sharing experience in deploying tactical formations, exchanging signals, inspecting ships, cooperating in firefighting, and organizing search and rescue missions at sea.

Based on a well-coordinated plan and thorough preparations, the two forces executed the training as intended, coordinating smoothly and swiftly, successfully completing all tasks, and ensuring absolute safety during the joint exercise.

The exercise significantly contributed to improving the capacity on command, administration, utilization of forces and equipment, and the ability to handle situations at sea for troops of the two coast guard forces. They also served to check the readiness of both forces to respond to any situations.
