Cambodian public security force pays New Year visit to Dak Lak’s border guard force
PANO - A delegation from the Public Security Department of Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province, led by its Chief Lieutenant General Lor Sokha, visited and extended New Year greetings to Vietnam’s Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command on January 10.
During the event, the head of the Cambodian delegation wished the officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command and the people of Vietnam a new year filled with health, happiness, prosperity, and peace. He also hoped that the solidarity and friendship between the two neighboring countries would continue to grow stronger and more sustainable.

General Lor Sokha expressed his delight at the positive results of cooperation between the two forces over the past time, especially in managing and protecting the border. He also thanked the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command for its support to the border protection units of the Public Security Department of Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province stationed in border areas.
The Cambodian official further expressed hope that the two sides would continue to work closely together in the future, particularly in information exchange and the fight against crimes in the border areas.
On behalf of the host, Commanding Officer of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Dao Viet Hung thanked Cambodian guest for their visit and New Year greetings. He stressed that the achievements over the past time, especially in cooperation during 2024, had contributed to fostering mutual understanding and trust between the two sides.

The Commanding Officer of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command hoped that in 2025, the border protection forces of both sides would continue to closely coordinate in managing and protecting the shared borderline, strengthen coordination in combating crime, particularly drug trafficking, human trafficking, and illegal immigration, thus contributing to building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
