Cambodia’s Friendship Orders presented to Vietnamese groups and individuals
PANO - Twelve Vietnamese groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing coordinating activities in celebration of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2017 were presented with Cambodia’s Friendship Orders in a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on February 7.
The ceremony was co-hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Royal Cambodian Governmental mission.

In his speech, member of the Cambodian People’s Party Central Committee Keo Ba Phnum, highly valued the coordination in organizing the friendship year, especially the precious, practical and effective support from the Party, State, Government, army and people of Vietnam, which helped Cambodia escape from the genocidal regime and work towards the development of the country.
Authorized by the Royal Cambodian Government, the Cambodian official presented the Thippadin-class Friendship Order to five groups and the Sena-class Friendship Order to seven individuals.
Addressing the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy-Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, sent gratitude to Cambodia for the noble awards.
General Nghia emphasized that the two militaries will continue to fully and effectively carry out all cooperation contents under the agreed deals signed by the two countries’ higher levels, contributing to enhancing the two countries’ ties of “Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability.”
