Border troops support Lao people to have better living conditions
PANO - Over the past time, besides fulfilling border management and protection tasks, the Vietnam Border Guard Command has actively supported people in Laos’ border areas in poverty reduction and economic development through practical efforts, such as providing seeds and livestock, offering healthcare service, and presenting gifts, among others.
In 2024, as part of the second Vietnam-Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program, various practical and humanitarian activities have been implemented for border people of both countries, including handing over breeding cows and awarding scholarships to impoverished students.
These activities have contributed to building the shared borderline of peace and friendship, and fostering prosperity and development for people on both sides of the border.
