The event drew seven members of the European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC), including the British Council, the Goethe Institute, the Polish Embassy, the Spanish Embassy’s Aula Cervantes, the French Embassy’s Francais – L’Espace, the Italian Embassy, and the Belgium’s Wallonia-Brussels delegation.
Nearly 120 teachers participated in a workshop about multilingualism in the Vietnamese educational system as well as the benefits of learning foreign languages.
Experts said the study of a second language for youngsters in Vietnam is very useful as it helps them increase connectivity with foreign people and learn different cultures around the world.
Participants could take part in various activities such as free 30-minute classes in German, French, English, Italian, Polish, and Spanish, short documentary film screening, and photos and books display, featuring the diverse culture of European countries.
