PANO - Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong hosted a banquet on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of China’s National Day (October 1st) on the evening of September 29th in Hanoi with the participation of representatives from Vietnamese ministries and organizations, friendship organizations, and Chinese businessmen conducting business in Vietnam.

In his speech, Ambassador Hong recalled his country’s development and achievements over the past 66 years and confirmed that China continues pursuing its peaceful development guideline, actively making contributions to peace and stability in the region and the world.
Regarding the fruitful ties between Vietnam and China, the Chinese Ambassador emphasized that since the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2008, their ties have been developing in all fields in an expansive and intensive manner, and that China is ready to cooperate with Vietnam to amicably control differences, boost bright points in the two countries’ ties for each country’s prosperity and proactively contribute to upholding peace and stability in the region and around the globe.
For his part, Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh congratulated China on its achievements over the past years and affirmed that the Party and the State of Vietnam have consistently attached great importance to stepping up friendship and equal cooperation for mutual benefit with China and hope that Vietnam-China’s comprehensive strategic partnership would develop intensively, stably and sustainably.
