Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nga recalled the contribution of the French Ambassador to the development of the bilateral relations during his tenure. Notably, Mr. Warnery actively cooperated to successfully arrange high-level visits between the two countries and maintain many exchange mechanisms on key areas, contributing to strengthening the good political relations between the two countries.
He also made efforts in strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy transition, response to climate change, and green growth. In addition, Ambassador Nicolas Warnery played an important role in promoting the implementation of many cooperation projects between France and Vietnam in the field of urban transport.
The diplomat also paid attention to and facilitated the strengthening of cooperation among localities. At present, 38 French and 18 Vietnamese localities have set up the relationship through 240 cooperation projects on healthcare, education, development of Francophonie community, rural development, and sustainable development.
Ambassador Nicolas Warnery also paid special attention to activities of peace, solidarity, friendship, and cultural and artistic exchanges between people of the two countries. Since the beginning of 2023, many activities, including exhibitions, food stalls, exchanges, and experience sharing, have been organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relations.
During his tenure in Vietnam, Mr. Warnery not only actively joined external activities held by VUFO but also showed great interest in and created favorable conditions for people-to-people exchange activities of the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association and the French Alumni Vietnam Association.
Mrs. Nga expressed her belief that in any position, the French ambassador will continue making active contribution to Vietnam - France people-to-people diplomatic activities, thus further deepening bilateral strategic partnership.

For his part, the French diplomat expressed the honor to receive the insignia. He took the occasion to thank VUFO and Vietnamese agencies for supporting him during his tenure in Vietnam.
Expressing the delight at the positive outcomes of the relationship between the two countries over the past time, Mr. Warnery believed that the bilateral relationship will further develop in the future.
