Brayan Landinez, a tourist from Venezuela, said that he decided to come to Vietnam to witness the parade firsthand after reading online information about and seeing photos of forces preparing for the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification.

“I often make short videos and post them on my Instagram account. I travel around the world to capture impressive events and moments, and I feel fortunate to be here among the people, sharing this vibrant atmosphere,” said Brayan Landinez.

The young Venezuelan man said that he was impressed with the appeal of the event. Brayan Landinez added, “It was fascinating to see so many Vietnamese and foreigners on the streets around the parade area. I heard that some people even camped out overnight just to get a good viewing spot,” he said.

Not only did Brayan Landinez take photos and videos, he also interviewed local people. They all shared their joy, excitement, and pride on this special day. “I’ll post these powerful images on social media so that people around the world can learn more about Vietnam and the historic victory 50 years ago,” the Venezuelan man said.

Meanwhile, Sivaraj Pragasm from Singapore was immediately captivated by the celebratory atmosphere at the moment he arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. He said that he had watched several documentaries and read about Vietnam’s history, particularly the nation's proud struggle for liberation.

I also saw the strength and discipline in military formations through rehearsal sessions on the streets in the past few days. The parade today was genuinely impressive!" said Sivaraj Pragasm.

Wearing a red T-shirt with a yellow star, Grace Cassidy from Australia could feel the national patriotism and pride of the Vietnamese people through activities in Ho Chi Minh City these days. Grace Cassidy said that she tried to find a good spot to watch the parade, but it was difficult because the streets were packed. “Still, from where I’m standing, I can feel the patriotic spirit when seeing veterans wearing uniform pinned on with medals and young people waving flags with excitement,” said the Australian girl.

Talking about the purpose of her first visit to Vietnam, Grace Cassidy said that she wanted to come to Vietnam to better understand the country. She knew that Vietnam had gone through war and won. “Everyone is so friendly, kind, and willing to help. A young Vietnamese person even gave me a flag,” said Grace Cassidy.
