Speaking at the Vietnam-Russia business forum held in Moscow, the Party chief said that at his meetings with senior leaders of Russia, the two sides continued to affirm that the two countries’ traditional relationship will be renewed to meet the requirements of the new situation, helping to bring practical benefits to their people, actively contributing to the development of the region and the world.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that promoting cooperation among businesses of the two sides plays an important role in implementing high-level agreements on socio-economic development. The two sides have important pillars of cooperation in energy, industry, science - technology and human resource training.

The Vietnamese leader expressed his hope that bilateral trade turnover will soon increase to match the potential and strengths of the two countries, noting businesses of the two countries play a major role in realizing this task.

General Secretary To Lam suggested the two sides continue to strengthen and promote cooperation in economy-trade and investment, transport, e-commerce, and labor.

He also expected that Russia would create conditions for Vietnamese postgraduates to participate in research in areas where Russia has strengths such as nuclear and fundamental physics.

For his part, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that Russia and Vietnam have a traditional friendship, a long history and great economic potential. The two sides have the potential for cooperation in many areas from innovative technologies and digital solutions for traditional industries to energy and agriculture.

Chernyshenko noted that the main goal of bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Russia is to develop specific projects and implement mutual investments that bring about practical results. He hoped that the two sides will continue to create a favourable environment for the activities of Russian and Vietnamese companies to invest in each other's markets.

At the forum, representatives from the two countries witnessed the signing of seven cooperation agreements. These include a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Russian Historical Society on cooperation in research and preservation of Vietnamese and Russian history; a cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Russian Association for International Cooperation on cooperation in economy, trade, science, culture, education, humanities, sports, tourism areas and people-to-people exchanges; a cooperation agreement between the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association and the Russia - Vietnam Friendship Association for the 2025-2030 period.

In addition, Vietnam’s Vinpearl signed an MoU with four Russian partners - LTD Anex Tourism, Coral Travel, One Click Travel Company, FUN & SUN - on strategic cooperation in the 2025-2026 period to promote Vietnam's tourist destinations and Vinpearl's products.

Saigontourist and Vietnam Airlines signed MoUs with two Russian partners - Amparus Tour and Russia Union of Fairs and Congress on cooperation in developing transport, aviation, cruise tourism, travel, hotels and two-way exhibition services between Vietnam and Russia in the 2025- 2030 period.

Shinec Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Russia’s RK Group LLC signed a MoU on the platform for connecting trade, finance, investment, logistics, resources and energy between Russia and Vietnam.

The Vietnam Association of Medical & Biological for Research and Application and the National Medical Research Centre of Oncology signed an MoU on cooperation in applying modern biomedical technology and traditional Vietnamese medicine with the pilot project to restore Russian folk medicine.

On this occasion, senior leaders of the two countries performed the button-pressing formality to inaugurate TH Group’s fresh milk processing factory in Kaluga oblast, about 100 km away from Moscow.

The factory, covering an area of nearly 15 hectares, has a capacity of 1,000 tons a day. In its first phase, its capacity is 500 tons per day. The factory uses raw materials processed entirely from top quality fresh milk from TH high-tech farms in Moscow and Kaluga oblast.
