The event was jointly held by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Education Department of Gyeongsangnam of the Republic of Korea (RoK), Representative Office of the Division of Overseas Koreans Education in Vietnam, APEC Cooperation Center on International Education, and the Hai Phong municipal People’s Committee.

The smart education center is a project within a cooperation program jointly organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and the Gyeongsangnam provincial Education Department over 15 years. 

This program includes two stages. The first stage took place from 2009 to 2019, while the second one runs from 2020 to 2024.

In the second stage, the Gyeongsangnam provincial Education Department will continue assisting the building of Gyeongsangnam smart education center in Hai Phong city, providing technical equipment and computer rooms for vocational training schools in Nghe An province and Hanoi’s Ha Dong district, and supporting the training of teachers and the application of information technology to training 500 teachers across the country.
