Vietnam Marine Economy Forum 2011 to take place in Nha Trang
The second Vietnam Marine Economy Forum (VMEF), themed “Driving force and challenges for the development of Vietnam’s coastal economic zones” will kick off in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province on June 8th, according to the organising panel of the forum.

The event jointly organised by the Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, Foreign Investment Magazine, the Vietnam Sea and Islands General Department, under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and other relevant agencies, will be a forum for businesses to exchange marine economy strategies in Vietnam as well as provide opportunities for investors experts and Vietnam and international media to know more about the potential of marine resource of Vietnam. Besides, the event will also help Vietnam have more investment in coastal economic zones such as Van Phong and others in Khanh Hoa Province.
In the framework of VMEF 2011, there will be a seminar, themed “Remarkable changes of sea natural resources potential in Vietnam and region countries”, among Vietnamese high-level experts.
VMEF, expected to draw the participation of around 400 people, including ministries’ leaders, experts, economists, scientists and Vietnam and international business managers, will become part of Vietnam Sea and Islands Festival from 2011 and be held annually by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
