Viettel tops the list of 50 most valuable brands of Vietnam
PANO - With its brand value of more than USD 4.3 billion, the Military-run Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) is on the top of the list of the 50 most valuable brands in Vietnam, followed by the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group and Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company.
The information was released at a seminar on management and enhancement of brand strength index at a brand honoring ceremony on September 24 in Hanoi. The event was co-organized by Brand Finance, a U.K.-based brand ranking company, and Mibrand Vietnam, a brand consultancy company that honors businesses with the most valuable brands. They also create an opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to learn more about the importance of brand development.
All 50 brands honored this time meet the ISO 10668 standards, the world’s only certified standard for ranking brand values.
Viettel continues to be the only brand in Vietnam and one of the eight others in Southeast Asia on the list of top 500 most valuable brands in the world as announced by Brand Finance. Over the past time, Viettel has attained high growth in ten foreign markets with successes in telecommunications, high-tech defense industry, telecom electronics, and cyber security.

As a result, its brand value has increased by 20% (equivalent to USD 1.5 billion) to USD 4.3 billion from 2018. The value nearly triples that of the second-ranking brand and is equal to the total value of the three brands that follow on the list. This is the second time that Viettel has entered the list of ten most valuable brands of Vietnam.
Results of the brand ranking by Brand Finance are announced on famous media channels, such as BBC, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
