VMC signs a strategic cooperation agreement with Ordefence. |
Leveraging domestic production strengths, the two companies plan to implement an OEM model (in which products are manufactured according to a partner’s design and specifications, marketed under the partner’s brand), combined with technology transfer and localization of Ordefence’s systems, components, and modules.
The cooperation framework also includes specialized training programs, knowledge and experience exchange, and expert exchange, contributing to technology capability enhancement and the development of a high-quality workforce.
VMC possesses a comprehensive capability chain, from research and design to large-scale manufacturing, supported by a network of modern factories operating under strict quality standards. With strong competencies in producing high-tech components and modules, as well as experience in technology transfer and localization with international partners, VMC provides a solid foundation to support Ordefence in OEM production, technology integration, and product localization in Vietnam.
With highly skilled engineers and proven project management capabilities, VMC has secured its position as a trusted partner to accompany Ordefence in developing dual-use defense products, optimizing the supply chain, and mastering core technologies under the strategic cooperation framework.
The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marked a significant milestone in Viettel Group’s road-map for international integration and expansion in global defense industry. The partnership not only underscores Viettel’s strength in research, development, and high-tech production but also creates new opportunities for “Make in Vietnam” products to participate more deeply in the global value chain. It also contributes to strengthening the defense industry ties between Vietnam and India, laying the groundwork for a sustainable, autonomous, and globally connected defense technology ecosystem.
Through this partnership, Ordefence will share core technologies, development experience, and production know-how for high-tech product lines suited to VMC’s capabilities. Both sides will also collaborate in product design, technical training, and commercial feasibility assessment. With its extensive global partner network, Ordefence will work alongside Viettel to expand distribution channels and deepen integration into the global defense supply chain.
