Viettel Global's operation has been improved.

According to Viettel Global’s report, its gross profit margin in 2019 reached 35.7%, up by 4.3% and 12.1% compared to those of 2018 and 2017, respectively. Its consolidated financial statements show that in 2019, the business posted consolidated profits of VND 17.1 trillion.

While providing telecommunication services, Viettel Global has focused on digital transformation and promoted providing technology solutions to organizations and businesses.

As a result, although general and administrative expenses doubled from more than VND 2.1 trillion to over VND 4.4 trillion, Viettel could still post pre-tax profits of VND 12 billion.

In the year, Viettel Global’s revenue in Southeast Asia soared from more than VND 7.4 trillion to around VND 9.4 trillion, while its business operations in the Latin America market remained stable with a turnover of VND 2.2 trillion.

The profits Viettel Global has generated from its joint-venture companies in Myanmar has increased by more than VND 1.7 trillion compared to last year.

Since the beginning of this year, despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Viettel’s operations in foreign markets have remained basically stable thanks to its digital transformation strategy. Its digital services have helped the host countries’ governments and agencies to effectively prevent and control the COVID-19 and update local people with information relating to the pandemic.

As planned, Viettel Global will add more 5 million subscribers this year despite the current landscape as global telecommunications has reached a saturation threshold.
