The two sides agreed to prioritize investment in and expansion of next-generation telecommunications infrastructure, particularly 5G networks, to meet the needs of daily life, urban management, industrial production and logistics supply in industrial parks and hi-tech zones. They will implement synchronized digital transformation from provincial to commune levels, coupled with administrative reform and improved service quality for citizens and businesses.
Chairman and General Director of Viettel Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang emphasized that Viettel identifies Bac Ninh as a key area for deploying digital infrastructure and digital transformation models linked to industrial production. The Group will prioritize resources, coordinate with the province to develop 5G infrastructure, implement synchronized digital transformation and pilot new technology applications suited to local conditions. Viettel has pledged that by 2026, 5G coverage will reach 100% of the provincial population.
At the working session, both sides also agreed to expand cooperation into hi-tech sectors, manufacturing, logistics and social housing, including housing for workers in industrial parks.
In addition, they will study and pilot new technology applications such as unmanned aerial vehicles and intelligent monitoring and management systems serving production, logistics and urban management.

Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai emphasized that the province always considers science, technology, innovation and digital transformation key drivers of growth in the next phase. Therefore, Bac Ninh is committed to creating favorable conditions for Viettel to deploy projects, products and technological solutions, and hopes Viettel will continue accompanying the province in developing digital infrastructure, hi-tech industries and low-altitude economy initiatives.
With its long-term operations in Bac Ninh, Viettel has made positive contributions to the province’s socio-economic development, particularly in telecommunications and digital technology. Many of Viettel’s business indicators in the locality have met or exceeded targets, contributing stably to the state budget. The Group has also deployed numerous products, services and technology solutions, such as 4G, 5G and digital transformation platforms for local authorities, businesses and citizens.
