On May 15, the Vietnam women’s football team beat Myanmar 2-0 in the final round to win the SEA Games gold medal for the fourth time in a row. In acknowledgement of the achievements, the Metfone director presented VND 200 million to the team and its head coach Mai Duc Chung.

On the occasion, the leader of Metfone also offered VND 50 million to athlete Vu Thi Hoa. In 2018, Hoa’s father died due to an occupational accident, while her mother’s health was in bad condition. She has to raise her three siblings together with her mother. She is a hardworking athlete and highly appreciated by coach Mai Duc Chung.

“The gift from Metfone is meaningful for my family, encouraging me to make more contribution to the achievements of the Vietnam’s football in particular and Vietnam’s sports in general,” said Hoa at the awarding ceremony.

On the same day, Metfone awarded VND 50 million to boxer Ha Thi Linh. Director Cao Manh Duc held that “Metfone is proud of the performance of the Vietnamese athletes at SEA Games 32. We have seen the difficult situation and strong will of Ha Thi Linh, hoping that Metfone and Vietnamese people would spread the strong will to build and develop the country.”
